The Flute is one of the oldest instruments known to man. The sound is generated by blowing air across a tone hole which then creates vibration through the rest of the instrument. Holes are opened or closed by the fingers to determine which note will sound.
The flute also looks like it has a vast number of keys to manipulate and can thus be complicated. However, the flute conforms naturally to the hands and places the fingers in an easy position to reach any key needed. In other words, it’s a lot easier than it looks!
